Laying a rug under your sofa and your coffee table can also help as this can ‘define’ the area, and at the same time divide up your room into smaller zones. To add a touch of colour, why not use a lovely, big, brightly coloured rug. It is also useful to let the natural inflow of light make its impact, as this can make a room seem bigger and more inviting. Narrow and rectangular rooms can seem small, so a good trick is to use bright furniture and bright accessories in your design. This makes for a cosy little reading corner in your living room.Ĭhoose bright colours and make room for natural light Another obvious option is also to place a single armchair next to the coffee table. It is a great way of making use of the space in the corner, where it may be difficult to place other furniture. If you need wish to make your room look a little less cluttered then it may be an idea to use baskets or boxes on the shelf unit to keep items 'hidden away'.Ī small corner table is also an excellent item of furniture for a narrow, rectangular living room. It's a great match for the shape of the room and also provides excellent storage. Make the best possible use of space in the cornersĪnother way of making the very best use of space in your living space is to utilise the corners of the living room and to choose a corner shelf unit. Instead, try placing your sofa in the room diagonally or transversely to create air around the furniture - this will then make the whole living room feel airier.Īnother tip for the interior of a rectangular living room is to use round furniture: for example, a round coffee table. When space is tight, finding your way around circular furniture is often easier. Many people believe that using narrow rugs and tables helps, but it can actually do the opposite. Space saving dining room tipsĪ classic mistake that people often make when designing narrow or rectangular living rooms is to position the furniture along the walls in an attempt to create more floor space. Each of the small groups then has its function in the room, catering for your family's different needs. An example of one of these groups could be a sofa corner, a play corner, a reading corner or a TV corner. Not all furniture is suitable for a narrow, rectangular living room, therefore it may be a good idea to establish several small groups in your living room and spreading the furniture out to prevent your room from looking cluttered. Read on for advice and design ideas to utilise the space of a long and narrow living room. Do you need interior inspiration on how to decorate a rectangular living room? A rectangular living room can usually mean a long and narrow space, which can be difficult to furnish and design.

You can see machines made of toothpicks by prisoners and a 6-foot laughing automaton called Laffing Sal. The museum claims to house the world's only steam-powered motorcycle, which dates to 1912. Other exhibits include a diorama of a travelling carnival that includes a large Ferris wheel and rides. These include love testers, Mutoscopes (early motion picture devices), fortune tellers, music boxes, photo booths, peep shows, pinball machines, dioramas, player pianos, and classic video games, some intricately restored and about 200 currently on display. The collection of over 300 classic games is the main attraction at Musée Mécanique. No outside food or drink is allowed, but there are snacks, sodas and beer (along with some killer swag) available for purchase.Ģ. And that kind of policy means small wait times for the smallest players. The request is that if someone’s waiting, limit play time to two games and then give her a turn. As for lines, players are pretty cool about watching out for each other. After all, it’s hard to score big when you can’t quite see the playing field. Can I play this one? You bet! The littles will also love the many step stools that can be found hiding (in plain sight) under various machines. Just a flat entrance fee and then you get to say “yes” to your kiddo all day. First and foremost is that (almost all of) the games are set to free play. If all of this sounds awesome, but you’re wondering if your littles will love it, we found quite a few reasons we think they will. It’s one that’s not on free play, but so worth it. Definitely bring a few dollars to try it out. And the newest is one seriously sweet game minted just last year-The Emerald City, Limited Edition, Wizard of Oz. As for the oldest game in the museum, it’s from the early 60’s. Or scan QR codes with your smart phone for awesome in-depth descriptions to totally geek out. Catch up on some by reading the posted placards that explain the lineage and development of each pinball game. And while the history of it all may fall on deaf ears when it comes to your kidlets, there’s much for parents to appreciate in the artistry of pinball culture. (Psst! Try the Flipper Football on the 2nd floor, featuring the Sounders FC). (After all, it’s hard for Gen Xers to pass up childhood kitsch like Tron and AC/DC.) There might even be a few games your kiddos recognize, too. The titles range from long-ago generic games, to contemporary sports, movie and rock ’n’ roll themed machines you’ll recognize and totally love. The museum has over 50 pinball machines and a few old-school video arcades. If you’re looking for a quieter playtime, Sundays (especially on game days), Mondays, and some Fridays are the best days to get your game on. And while it’s not always crowded, count on busyness whenever you plan to go. Since winning one of the coveted spots, it has become a favorite for kids and those who are young at heart. The museum was part of the 2010 Storefront Seattle project aimed at revitalizing empty storefronts in Pioneer Square and the International District. Begin using money as a means of teaching when toddlers first learn how to count, allow children to run their own lemonade stand and yard sales during the summer, enforce good saving and spending habits with allowance, and begin explaining price differences during grocery store trips. Grades K-5Įlementary school is a fantastic time to teach children the importance and value of earning and saving money. Parents and guardians become the primary educators when it comes to teaching children the money management skills which will allow for a strong foundation of lasting financial competence. Unfortunately for children and young students, financial literacy is often left out of the typical education system’s curriculum. For adults or college-age students, improvements of financial literacy can be made by educating yourself through reading books about saving money and setting financial goals, asking for guidance from a financial counselor, taking classes within your local community, or finding online resources which provide tools and assistance to help make good financial decisions. Although there are lessons to be learned from trial and error, financial literacy is about managing finances proactively and with intention. Unfortunately, there are many students who enter into adulthood without entirely understanding how to manage their finances properly. Financial literacy is defined as a “meaning-making process”, in which individuals use acquired skills, external resources, and contextual knowledge to accurately process information and make competent decisions in regards to potential consequences of their financial decisions. Setting a realistic budget, responsibly managing credit and debt, saving for unexpected expenses, and learning how to invest will all be important life skills for every young adult to master. Providing children with a thorough understanding of financial literacy at an early age, is vital to ensure proper money management skills later in life. 8/29/2023 0 Comments Use appstudio offlineIt is an extendable AppBuilder that help you to build cross-platform apps, web and native (Android, iOS, Windows, OS X and Linux), from your maps in order to be able to publish them using your own brand anywhere.Īs mentioned before, this product can be used by developers and non-developers because it provide some configurable templates which at the same time can be extended if desired. Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said he appreciates the way Rodgers wants to keep playing through pain this season. Rodgers has connected on 64.8 per cent of his passes this season, for 2,682 yards and 21 touchdowns, with nine interceptions - his highest interception total in 12 years and four off his career high. In nine NFL games overall, including three brief appearances this year, Love has completed 60 per cent of his passes for 597 yards and three touchdowns, with three interceptions. The 24-year-old Love was taken with the 26th overall pick in the 2020 Draft but has so far made just one NFL start, facing the Kansas City Chiefs in Week Nine of the 2021 season when Rodgers sat out due to returning a positive Covid-19 test. 8/29/2023 0 Comments Ssd external hard driveSamsung’s 8TB 870 QVO remains the absolute sweet spot and the benchmark for large capacity SSD at less than half the price of the Teamgroup QX ( $799 at Newegg). Despite its target audience, it remains expensive at just over $2,800 or around $190 per TB. It is, according to its manufacturer, the largest SATA SSD with a three year warranty and a 2.56PBW warranty. Note that this is a SAS drive which means that it will be difficult to shove one of these in a NAS drive or in an external enclosure to turn it into a portable SSD (or indeed the largest portable SSD ever).Įnter the Teamgroup QX, a 15.36TB SSD with a SATA interface that makes it compatible with almost all desktops and laptops that have a free 2.5-inch bay. Its 9400 Pro matches both Intel and Samsung for capacity and warranty and comes in at a cool $3,645. The third player with a large capacity SSD is Micron. Intel (now Solidigm) has an SSD - the D5-P5316 - in the same form factor (U.2) but with a faster read/write speed and a much lower price tag ( as low as $3,088 ) which is less than $100 per TB. It is an expensive part at $4,375 (or around $140 per TB) even if it comes with a five year warranty and a 1-drive-written per day capacity. Samsung’s PM1643a, a three-year old enterprise solid state drive with a SAS interface was the first 2.5-inch SSD with a capacity of 30.72TB. There are three SSD that compete for the crown of biggest SSD ever at 30.72TB. Removable Laptop SSDs take the shape of 2.5-inch slabs or M.2 bars. This is essentially disassembling the external HDD and reusing the hard drive inside either in an array or in a desktop computer. This price difference, then, gave rise to a popular technique known as shucking. The basic Elements/Easystore desktop HDD retails for $450 while the souped up My Book costs $600 prices do fluctuate though so expect price drops around Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Note that these drives tend to use CMR rather than the controversial SMR technology.Įxternal hard disk drives of similar capacities sell for a bit more, a far cry from a few years ago when they were selling for much less, which is paradoxical given that they cost more to build. Western Digital has seeded multiple 22TB models in the wider retail market: the data center version (HC570) ($449), the purple surveillance hard drive ($458.18), the NAS Red version ($509) and the enterprise model ($549) all have 512MB cache and target the prosumer up to enterprise level looking for the largest internal HDDs. It has a 256MB cache and a 7200RPM rotational speed, which means that it is likely to be one of the fastest HDD around. It features 10 platters and uses CMR (conventional magnetic recording) rather than the controversial SMR to reach that capacity. In April 2012, Seagate also unveiled a 22TB version of its Iron Wolf Pro HDD (ST22000NT001) for a mere $363 ( at Amazon). It is available with SATA or SAS interfaces and comes with 5-year warranty, 256MB cache and a 7200RPM rotational speed. The Seagate Exos X22 is not listed on Seagate's website (although there's a product support page for it) but widely available ( online retailer Wiredzone sells it for $406). Toshiba has a 20TB CMR Hard disk drive but no plans for a 22TB one yet. The two biggest hard disk drive vendors have released 22TB hard drives with Western Digital unveiling a 26TB model in 2022 (although you won't be able to buy it as it is a data center only product). Which one are you looking forward to the most? Exceptions are Sparky, Inferno Tower and Inferno Dragon, which will still be reset by stun/freeze effects. Electro Wizard: No longer permanently stuns - With this change, all stun/freeze effects by the Electric Wizard will now pause the target's attack, causing them to retarget when they resume. With this “quality of life” balance troops will keep charging forward as if nothing had happened. Clone: No longer resets charging troops (Princes, Sparky, etc.) – up to this point, cloning a troop would stop the original troops progress, kind of stunning it momentarily. The card has needed some slight adjustments for a while so this is a well thought out change. The Log: Damage -4%, Range to 11.1 (from 11.6) – this change is aimed at lessening the tower chip damage this card does.Three cards, are receiving "quality of life" nerfs during the March 13 Clash Royale balance changes update. Tornado: Can be placed on top of buildings – While Tornados won’t be able to deal any damage to a building, having the ability to play it on top of a building could serve as an excellent advantage for players with long range cards like the fireball, allowing them to target both the building and surrounding troops in one blow.Lumberjack: Rage Duration +1.5sec and +0.5sec per level – Supercell is implementing this change to keep the Lumberjack rage consistent with the actual Rage spell, a nice boost for this tank.Hopefully the tweak won’t make the card too strong. The card is already a defensive powerhouse. Bomb Tower: Projectile speed +66% - Supercell is choosing to upgrade the projectile speed of this card to better target fast moving troops. This buff may make the card a bit more desirable for all players. I have avoided using arrows because their delivery often comes later than needed. Arrows: Projectile speed +33% - Speeding up the attack on this card is an excellent idea. The buff comes as a kind of compensation for some Executioner bugs that will be fixed which will lessen his appeal. After getting a downgrade not too long ago, Supercell decided it was time to return this guy to his full glory.
